FLV Service for Freerecorder is an application that is automatically installed when Replay Media Catcher is installed on the computer. The process runs as flvsrvc.exe, and is part of the Ask and Record Toolbar. Its main purpose is to record a history of the videos that you streamed online. The program also saves a history of the HTTP videos that you are currently watching on temporary storage. Consequently, you will have the process running in the background even when Replay Media Catcher is not in use. It uses minimal RAM capacity, which means running it in the background will not cause any type of conflict with main computer processes. Users deem the program as safe to use, and to date, no virus threats have been reported. A number of surfers disable the flvsrvc.exe file, and enable it only simultaneous with using the Replay Media Catcher program. RMC software is licensed under Applian Technologies, Inc.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. flvsrvc.exe. is used by Replay Media Catcher, If you shut down flvsrvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop flvsrvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Replay Media Catcher, from your system.
