The location of this executable file is in the C:\Windows subfolder or sometimes in C:\Program Files subfolder. Known sizes for this file include 83,968 bytes, 82,432 bytes with 55% occurrence and 4 other variants. This program does not use a visible window. The ffpsrv.exe file is not a core file for Windows. It can record inputs. This program starts when you boot Windows. The registry key for this process is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. You can access the program on the Windows Control Panel. The ffpsrv.exe file can hide itself. File and Folder Protector is a program working on kernel level that protects your files using a password. It enables two active passwords in case you forget one. It supports hot keys to enable or disable the protection. You can easily protect a folder or file through its context menu.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ffpsrv.exe. is used by File and Folder Protector, If you shut down ffpsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ffpsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is File and Folder Protector, from your system.
