The file process fdm.exe is technically made up of the download manager software called Free Download Manager, which is created by Free Download Manager Incorporated. This file program is developed as a download manager and a download accelerator, but also considered as an open source application, which means it is downloadable online. Moreover, the fdm.exe file works to open the graphical user interface or GUI of the Free Download Manager, which allows a computer user to access and execute the different features of the program, such as the integration with web browsers and download support from Rapidshare and Bittorrent. There is also an option to create file folders, use or translate various languages, adjust traffic usage, resume downloads that are canceled or broken, and add flashes video support. Other than downloading files on the Internet, a user can upload anything he or she wants to share in the World Wide Web using the upload manager of this file program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fdm.exe. is used by Free Download Manager, If you shut down fdm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fdm.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Free Download Manager, from your system.
