What is  fbserver.exe

The fbserver.exe process is the executable file for Firebird SQL Server, a relational database that offers many SQL regular features that are running on Windows, or Linux, or in varied Unix platforms. The Firebird SQL offers high performance, excellent concurrency, and powerful language support. Firebird SQL Server has been utilized in production systems, in a varied names and ways, since 1981. Firebird has been the open source relational data management system running on Windows, Linux, and Unix varieties. Firebird’s database patterned from Borland's edition of open source InterBase in 2000, since the Firebird 1.5 code has been rewritten. The Firebird SQL Server uses special high-end structures and algorithms, programming the database indexes behave like finely-turned “clustered indexes” utilized other architectures. The Firebird indexes are not subject to double-phased locking, and the Boolean “or” and “and” operations are performed on intermediate platforms at a low cost, eliminating the requirement to choose between indexes.
