The fast2.exe file is the process that launches the program Fast Defrag Standard created by AMS Network. Fast Defrag Standard is a software that arranges file allocations on physical drive as part of system maintenance. It organizes usage of swap files to speed up the system. The program uses minimal system resources. The fast2.exe process provides enables quick recovery of maximum amount of free random access memory or RAM without conflict with active parts of the system. It has a graphical interface for the user to view the task progress. Aside from its defragmenting capability, it has a system configuration module for managing programs currently installed in the system. The fast2.exe process enables users to record and monitor information about memory, startup, executable files, running processes, processor, memory, installed programs and other computer parts that perform vital functions. It supports about 20 languages. The common path for this process is C:\ Program Files\ Fast Defrag\ fast2.exe.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fast2.exe. is used by Fast Defrag Standard, If you shut down fast2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fast2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Fast Defrag Standard, from your system.
