The executable process file fah.exe (version 5.0.1.0) is identified as FAH5.04 that is part of the software Folding @ Home Client or Need for Speed Undercover that is developed by Stanford University. The process file is also known as Adobe Acrobat Update Service that is created by Adobe Systems Incorporated. The process file is found to be running in the Task Manager as the process fah.exe. The process file is found to be located in the subfolder of C:\ Program Files and in the directory of %SystemDiskRoot%\ !AAAA\ FAH GPU Tracker V2, %PROGRAMFILES%\ Simlock Remote Client\ Fah, %SystemDiskRoot%\ Folding@HomeCPU\ 4 and %DESKTOP%\ DESKTOPS\ Desktop. On Windows 7 or XP the file size of the process file is at 422,400 bytes, (70% of all incidences) or 253,952 bytes. The process file has no visible window and is neither considered to be a Windows system file.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fah.exe. is used by FAH5.04, If you shut down fah.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fah.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is FAH5.04, from your system.
