The connectmgr.exe process is an executable component file of the HP Wireless Printer Adapter Connection Manager software, which is a Windows program classified as a hardware device monitoring and management application that was developed by HP for certain HP laptop models and desktop computers equipped with wireless printer adapters and chipsets. The HP Wireless Printer Adapter Connection Manager program is bundled into the firmware and device driver software installer distributions that are distributed with these compatible HP laptop and desktop computers, which means the connectmgr.exe process and the other component files and resource libraries of the HP Wireless Printer Adapter Connection Manager software are placed into the Windows-based system upon the installation of these HP firmware components and device driver software utilities. The connectmgr.exe process is specifically deployed into the system as the executable program dispatcher file of the HP Wireless Printer Adapter Connection Manager software, which means users can load this program unto the system, implement its wireless printer device status monitoring and management functionalities and access the UI (User Interface) components of the HP Wireless Printer Adapter Connection Manager software by activating the connectmgr.exe file.
