The btengine.exe process is an executable file that is associated with the µTorrent application, which is developed by BitTorrent Incorporated for Microsoft Windows. The btengine.exe application is an ad-supported, free closed program of BitTorrent client that is created to utilized minimum computer properties while providing functionality like the BitComet. The module btengine.exe in relation to the µTorrent application is capable of using PEX (Peer Exchange) along with other BitTorrent clients. The btengine.exe software is usable in 66 languages and is equipped with customizable user interface scheme and search bar, wherein the temporary files and configuration setups are saved in a solo directory. The btengine.exe file enables the users to download a specific file on the Internet anytime without even cancelling the download process even if the computer was restarted, wherein it resumes the part where the download had stopped. The btengine.exe program is capable of utilizing WebUI, a module that enables the running µTorrent application to be accessed by another computer, whether it is by LAN (Local Area Network), via Internet, or by the use of a Web browser.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. btengine.exe. is used by µTorrent, If you shut down btengine.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop btengine.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is µTorrent, from your system.
