The module bronto.dll is a process file also known as Software Installation Extension that belongs to the Microsoft Windows Operating System. The file bronto.dll was designed by Microsoft Corporation with a set of functionalities for monitoring and managing the installation of applications in client systems that are connected to a workgroup by the use of The Group Policy Object Editor. The bronto.dll module is referenced by the system when an application is assigned to a specific user or workgroup. The user can access installed applications in the system through the Add or Remove Programs applet, where active Web links are included for each application, and these links provide additional details about each installed program, but system administrators have the ability to overwrite those links through The Group Policy Software. The bronto.dll file works with a process belonging to a program that can expand the available data resources provided to certain applications.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bronto.dll. is used by Software Installation Extension, If you shut down bronto.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bronto.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Software Installation Extension, from your system.
