The Canon My Printer, or the bjmyprt.exe process, is manufactured by Canon, Inc. Canon, Inc. is a successful corporation which specializes in creating and manufacturing optical and imaging products, including photocopiers, steppers, cameras and computer printers. The bjmyprt.exe file (Canon My Printer) is installed with different Canon printers and enables the user to change the printer settings, which includes paper sources settings and gives the user information in solving certain amounts of known printing problems. This process gives access to printing functions coming from the Taskbar by simply running the background process. The Canon My Printer System Tray icon allows the user to open up the Canon My Printer software which can be installed by the driver’s CD of several Canon printers. With the Canon My Printer System Icon, the user can access the printer settings (layout, setting up of profiles, media type, photo effects), printer status and perform printing troubleshooting. This process does not need to be running for the Canon printer to work efficiently and it is up to the user whether he or she would like to keep the System Tray running or not.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bjmyprt.exe. is used by Canon My Printer, If you shut down bjmyprt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bjmyprt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Canon My Printer, from your system.
