An executable file named bgsmsnd.exe is also known as the pdfMachine Background process and this process belongs to the software pdfMachine. The software is literally owned and designed by the Broadgun Software. The file bgsmsnd.exe is typically located in the directory of C:\Windows\System32\spool\DRivers\w32x86\2\. The file size is 106,496 bytes and this size may usually change when used on different versions of Operating System (OS) such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The program starts when the Personal Computer is started by the user and has the registry key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. The file does not belong to the Windows core system, however the file is digitally signed by the author. This only means that the file belongs to a legitimate company. The user will still have the option to remove the process by removing the entire software with the use of the Add/Remove programs located in the Control Panel on Microsoft Windows user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bgsmsnd.exe. is used by pdfMachine Background process, If you shut down bgsmsnd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
