The executable process file, bf2.exe, is part of the software, Battlefield (version 2 [TM]) that is found to be running in the Task Manager as the process, bf2.exe. This is a process that enables Battlefield 2 to function as a game, thus without the existence of the process file, or if the file is considered to be corrupt or damaged, the game itself would be unable to function. The process file is found to be located in the subfolder of C:\Process File, or occasionally in a subfolder of C:\. On Windows 7 or XP, the process file, bf2.exehas the file size of 7,395,763 bytes (23% on all incidences), 7,574,463 bytes and 6 other variants. It is considered not to be a Windows system file which transmits data on open ports to the Internet of the Local Area Network or LAN. With this function, it also has the capability of monitoring applications and handles other programs.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bf2.exe. is used by Battlefield 2, If you shut down bf2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bf2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Battlefield 2, from your system.
