The bb-run.sys process is also known as the Promise Disk Accelerator and it belongs to the software Promise driver accelerator. It is owned by Promise Technology. There is minimal information gathered about this process. The process can be initiated or stopped from Services within the Control Panel or by other programs. The process is not visible. The file is considered to be trustworthy coming from Microsoft. It is a Windows core file and seems to be a compressed file. The process contains a security rating of 12% dangerous making it relatively safe to execute according to the users; it is generally more sound if the user executes this process under careful conditions within his or her computer system; in order to minimize any possible dangers to the user’s computer system, the user needs to be aware of the possibilities that this process may contain some possible threatening materials, such as Trojan, virus, worm, and any other potential dangers (which makes this process vulnerable to virus writers) that needs to be aware of, as well performing specific measures which can be done whenever this program is being execute in order to consolidate the security and stability of the user’s computer system.
