Most anti-virus programs and user reports identify awvts.dll file as malware. Known sizes for this file include 577,588 bytes, 573,492 bytes with 11% occurrence and 31 other variants. This DLL file is a BHO [browser helper object] that starts automatically when you run the Internet browser. Malware applications often use BHOs because they are usually detected by personal firewalls as the browser itself. It is not a visible program. It is a non-system process on Windows that originates from the application installed in the system. It can monitor activities on your Internet browser. Malevolent or malicious software, popularly called malware for short, is often used to get sensitive information, disrupt computer operations or gain unauthorized access to private systems. Malware can be in the form of active content, scripts, code and other applications. Malware is the general term for intrusive or hostile software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. awvts.dll. is used by Awvts.dll, If you shut down awvts.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
