The Dynamic Link Library avgse.dll works as a part of the application AVG 7.5 Anti-Virus System from AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o. or GRISOFT, s.r.o. This file is commonly referred to as AVG Shell Extension, and it runs as a support for the software in scanning and protecting files and programs of a computer against infection from viruses or malwares. With this module, the start up process of the antivirus program is possible. This module also acts as a shell monitor for the program and with a cytographic hash function value of 128-bit, avgse.dll is an important component to start the application and influence the behavior of the program it supports. This is not a core file of any operating system; however, removing the file will post danger to the security of the computer as AVG 7.5 Anti-Virus System will not function properly without it. File can be located within the Grisoft subfolder of the Program Files folder of the local drive directory. This module ranges from 40 KB to 50 KB of disc space.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgse.dll. is used by AVG 7.5 Anti-Virus System, If you shut down avgse.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
