The file location of this process is in the subfolder C:\Program Files. Known sizes for the file on Windows XP or 7 systems include 812,032 bytes, 811,008 bytes with 36% occurrence and 6 other variants. There is no visible window for this application. The avgfwsrv.exe file is not a core file for Windows. It can monitor applications and hide itself. AVG Anti-Virus software provides Anti-Spyware, Anti-Rootkit, Anti-virus, LinkScanner, Security Toolbar and Web Shield components for security. AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall has added Firewall protection to its features. The file has not digital signature. Automatic startup locations include services installed and running processes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgfwsrv.exe. is used by AVG Anti-Virus System, If you shut down avgfwsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avgfwsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AVG Anti-Virus System, from your system.
