The asSysCtrlService.exe process is the executable file for Asus System Control Services, or more known as AsSysCtr Application developed and digitally signed by ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated. ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated is a Taiwanese multinational electronics and computer hardware company with headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan. ASUSTeK products include desktops, motherboards, monitors, laptops, tablet PCs, video cards, mobile phones, and servers. ASUSTeK primarily sells electronic and computer products under Asus brand and produces electronics and system components for several other manufacturers that include Dell, Apple, Acer, and Hewlett-Packard. Asus System Control Services includes the following functions in the computer: • Startup entries • Global startup entry • Running process • WinLogOn Shell and UserInIt strings • Browser object helper list • ActiveX Controls • Toolbar list • Internet Explorer Homepage • Internet Explorer SearchScopes • Task Scheduler • Context menus (Internet Explorer only) • Extra buttons (Internet Explorer only) • Service entries – display name, service name, status, .dll and .exe paths • Uninstall entries

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. assysctrlservice.exe. is used by Asus System Control Services, If you shut down assysctrlservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop assysctrlservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Asus System Control Services, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Asus System Control Services, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.

The first thing you should do if assysctrlservice.exe. is causing errors on your computer is to run a Windows registry scan with Registry Reviver If you are still seeing errors after this you should uninstall the program that assysctrlservice.exe, belongs to, in this case Asus System Control Services
