Basically termed as Self-Installing File as its service name, the aolicon.exe process, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, is a component of the software product called PrismXL Software Family, which is developed by New Boundary Technologies. PrismXL Software Family is an application that is related to wireless adapters from the company Globespan Virata, which is now a subsidiary of Conexant. Anyway, for the installation and functioning process of the program, when it is downloaded, aolicon.exe is installed, stored on a file folder location, mostly labeled as C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings, or C:\Windows, registered into the Windows registry, and automatically runs as a background service to execute or perform its function. The aolicon.exe file is an essential file, and also compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows operating systems, or Windows OS, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aolicon.exe. is used by PrismXL Software Family, If you shut down aolicon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop aolicon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is PrismXL Software Family, from your system.
