The amclient.exe process is an executable file deployed into client computers by the LANDesk Management Suite software, which is a Windows program classified as an IT asset and network management application developed with a set of tools for gathering updated software licensing and application details as well as hardware device information from client computers that are connected to the network. The LANDesk Management Suite software can also be used by network administrators and IT personnel to update and upgrade applications, hardware device drivers and firmware components of client Windows systems. The amclient.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of the LANDesk Management Suite software, which also means the amclient.exe process is bundled as one of the component files and resource libraries included in the installation distribution packages of the LANDesk Management Suite application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. amclient.exe. is used by LANDesk Management Suite, If you shut down amclient.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop amclient.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is LANDesk Management Suite, from your system.
