The almxptray.exe is an executable file for Tray Program for Acer Notebook Manager belonging to software Notebook Manager or Acer Notebook Driver developed by Acer. It provides a system tray icon used to access and change various settings on the user’s Acer notebook.  The Acer Notebook Manager is also software that allows control of various hardware and software settings in the user laptop. It has 9 functions to allow viewing and configuration of BIOS settings and Microsoft Windows functions. Each function can be accessed through the main dialog box, menu bar, or right clicking the Notebook Manager icon on the task bar. It usually covers 5.87 megabytes in virtual memory and is compatible to run in 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems. The file almxptray.exe can be seen located normally on the C:\Program Files subfolder with a file size of 509,952 bytes 80% of the time on Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. almxptray.exe. is used by Acer Notebook Manager, If you shut down almxptray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop almxptray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer Notebook Manager, from your system.
