The executable process file, aetcrss1.exe (v 3.0.0.2082), is known to be a Certificate Expiration Check Utility part of Safe Sign, AET Sign, Raak Sign, and Star Sign from A.E.T Europe B.V. The process file is considered to be not a Windows core file and does not also have a visible window, therefore is classified only as a background process. During boot process of Windows, the process file aetcrss1.exe is loaded under the Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ Current Version\ Run. The location of the process file is found in the folder, C:\Windows\System 32 where it has a file size of 40,960 bytes on Windows 7 or XP with 50% on all occurrences, 151,552 bytes, 204,800 bytes or 28,672 bytes. In functionality, the process file aetcrss1.exe, that is compatible in operating on the operation system Windows Vista, has the capability to monitor applications.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aetcrss1.exe. is used by Certificate Expiration Check Utility, If you shut down aetcrss1.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
