The admserv.exe process is an executable component file of the Acer Empowering Technology software, which is a suite of tools and applications that are bundled with the firmware utilities and device driver software distributions of certain Acer laptops, desktops and tablet computers. The admserv.exe process assists these Acer firmware components and device driver software resources in implementing the embedded set of functionalities of connected motherboard hardware components like I/O ports, chipsets and adapters among other devices into the Windows-based system. The admserv.exe process also aids the Acer Empowering Technology software in integrating the bundled applications included in its suite of tools into the system as requested by the user. The admserv.exe process is included as one of the component files, SYS drivers, DLL modules and other resource libraries that are packaged into the installer distributions of the Acer Empowering Technology software and these Acer firmware utilities and drivers, which also means the admserv.exe file is placed in the system upon the successful installation and configuration of these Acer firmware components and device driver software resources, including the Acer Empowering Technology application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. admserv.exe. is used by Acer Empowering Technology, If you shut down admserv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop admserv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer Empowering Technology, from your system.
