The acroiehelper.ocx process is a program component of the Adobe Acrobat software that works with the Internet Explorer Web browser in implementing the embedded functionalities of the acroiehelper.ocx process, which is specifically deployed to assist the Adobe Acrobat software in using Internet Explorer windows to open and display the content of PDF (Portable Document Format) files. The acroiehelper.ocx process is particularly implemented as one of the components of the AcroIEHelper module, which is an applet built into the Adobe Acrobat application. The acroiehelper.ocx file is placed in the Windows-based system upon the installation of the Adobe Acrobat program, which also means Adobe Acrobat installer distributions for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows are bundled with the acroiehelper.ocx process. To stop acroiehelper.ocx, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Adobe Acrobat and Internet Explorer, from your system.
