What is  aclient.dll

The aclient.dll process file is a Browser Helper Object (BHO) created by Microsoft Corporation. It was designed to run automatically every time the user starts their Internet Explorer web browser. This BHO runs in the same memory context as the browser thus any firewall installed in a computer cannot detect the presence of such process file. It can perform any task on the available windows and modules of the activated browser. This helper class file carries out tasks to assist in providing functionalities during browsing in the World Wide Web. Through this BHO, users can expand the functionalities of a browser and allow developers to integrate the browser with new features. The process file, when activated, shows no visible window. The process file can be located in the Windows folder, but it is not a Windows core file neither is it a Windows system file. The process file is able to change the behavior of the browser and can monitor such browser like Internet Explorer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aclient.dll. is used by Internet Explorer, If you shut down aclient.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
