The EXE process called aceagent.exe, also known as Activcard, was developed by the company ActivCard Corporation. The EXE aceagent.exe file has been duly signed by its company owner through Verisign. The file is stored in C: / Program Files of the computer systems. The main functions of this EXE process include executing *.dll files and locating their libraries in the system’s memory. This file is necessarily intact in the system to avoid several errors that may occur since this file supports varied applications and Windows functions. EXE process aceagent.exe is to back-up running programs to secure their correct functions in the system. The file size ranges from 160,000 to 200,000 bytes size. Errors regarding this process may lead to a slow running system that can be treated by a full scan of the system if viruses are the main cause of it.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aceagent.exe. is used by ActivCard Corporation, If you shut down aceagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop aceagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ActivCard Corporation, from your system.
