Hi Doge,

"system_thread_exception_not_handled" mostly arises due to incompatible or old graphics card drivers.

In order to fix this issue, the computer must be restarted in safe mode, and the problematic graphics driver must be uninstalled. Once this is done, the latest driver of the installed graphics card must be downloaded from the vendor’s official site, and must be installed.

Follow Step-by-step instructions given below to accomplish this task:
  1. Restart computer and insert Windows bootable media into optical media drive (CD/DVD Drive).
  2. On the displayed Windows Setup box, click Next.
  3. On the next page, click Repair your computer.
  4. On Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot.
  5. On Troubleshoot screen, click Advanced options.
  6. On Advanced options screen, click Command Prompt.
  7. On the opened Command Prompt window type C: and hit Enter.
  8. On C: prompt, type BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY LEGACY command, and press Enter to enable legacy advanced boot menu.

9. Once the command executed successfully, type EXIT command to close the Command Prompt window.

Now follow these steps:
  1. Restart Windows computer.
  2. As the system restarts, press F8 key continuously to display the Advanced Boot Options screen.
  3. On Advanced Boot Options screen, make sure that Safe Mode option is selected and press Enter key.

  4. Log on to Windows computer with the account that has the elevated privileges.
  5. Click Desktop tile from the Start screen to go to the desktop screen.
  6. Once on the desktop screen, hover mouse to the bottom right corner of the window.
  7. From the displayed options, click Settings.
  8. On the Settings pane, click Control Panel.
  9. On the opened All Control Panel Items window, click Device Manager.

  10. On Device Manager window, expand Display adapters category.
  11. Once expanded, right-click the graphics driver that is to be uninstalled.

  12. From the context menu that appears, click Uninstall to remove the selected graphics driver.
  13. On Confirm Device Uninstall box, click OK to confirm the graphics driver uninstallation.
  14. Wait till the selected driver is uninstalled and restart the Windows computer if required in order to allow the changes to take effect.
I hope this helps.

Thank You!
Lokesh

Threads are like lines of execution for computers. When something happens that is weird in a thread, windows will choose to just shut the computer down, and require a restart in order to avoid damaging any of your data.

Usually what causes threads to act odd is your drivers. You stated that if can sometimes happen when your network is acting wierd. The easiest way to check that your drivers are correct is this:
  • Press the Windows Key
  • Type "device manager" and press enter
  • If you see any yellow exclamation points, these are devices that do not have drivers, or are causing an issue.
  • If you don't have any of these, you will have to manually search through each device and find your network adapter (check both wireless and LAN)
  • To check a device, double click on the name, then go to the "Driver" tab, and click "update driver"
If none of this seems to work, you may have to check on your computer manufacterer website for drivers that are Windows 10 compatible. If there are no drivers available, you may have to upgrade the hardware, or downgrade to windows 8.1

This has been a persistent problem with my computer since I purchased it and Alienwar (now DELL) tech support has been little if any help. I did a complete reinstall of my Windows 7 OS and that still did not fix the problem.
