Hi Pierre,

AVG anti-virus may reject download files when the program can't protect the computer from infection.
AVG is doing its job when it blocks malware-infected downloads; however, the program may erroneously block all file downloads, when there's a problem with the AVG installation.

You can take a note of below points and see if they are causing the problem:

Files are Infected

If you think AVG is incorrectly flagging a file during download, try downloading other files off the same site, as well as other websites, to rule out the specific file being infected. The file in question may be infected if the other downloads work. If a file is infected, AVG recommends updating the AVG program and running a full system scan.

Previous Version Conflicts

According to AVG, the anti-virus program will display the message "Download Failed - Virus Detected" for all downloads when encountering this problem. The problem is caused by previous versions of AVG still being present on the computer and conflicting with the updated version. AVG recommends deleting the old versions from your computer to resolve this problem.

File Exclusions and Temporary Disabling

You can add the file type to the File Exclusions list or temporarily disable AVG to bypass the download block.
To add a file exclusion, open AVG settings, click "Expert Settings" under "Computer Protection" and "Antivirus," remove the file extension from the list and click "Apply."
AVG can be disabled by right-clicking on the AVG icon from the taskbar and selecting "Temporarily disable AVG protection."

Restore from Vault

The purpose of the Virus Vault is to safely store the files removed by AVG for a certain period of time, so that you can make sure that you no longer need the file. If you find out that the missing file is causing problems, you can restore it to its original location.
To access the AVG Virus Vault and the files stored in it:
  1. Open the AVG program.
  2. Open menu Options.
  3. Select Virus Vault.
  4. Select the file that you wish to restore or to delete permanently.
  5. If needed, click Details to display more information about the removed infection.
If you are still experiencing issues, you can send an email to support@reviversoft.com for help related to your concern.

Regards,
Lokesh
