i like this question0 Like ItFollowProblems only happens after a software update. Only fix thus far is restore to prior date before update. Also for some reason the bing icon video works on desktop. My daughter goes there to view playdough videos. I use it to get online now. Also the 2013 word documents. Rest are white. After double clicking on an icon Error message reads: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action Please install one or if one is already installed create one in the default program directory"Operating System:Answer this questionbest answer

The first thing I\'d recommend is a malware scan. Sounds like your computer is infected.
I recommend giving Malwarebytes Anti-Malware a try. It\'s free and very effective:

Next, restart your computer and start tapping the F8 key to access the advanced boot options. On this screen, select and proceed with Safe Mode with Networking.
Once you\'re in the Safe Mode, download and run this EXE fix from Winhelponline:
http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/exe_fix_w7.zip
It\'s a ZIP file, so extract the .reg registry file first and then run the file to apply the fix to your Windows Registry.
Restart your computer and everything should be back to normal.
